Debbie Reynolds
Primarily serving retail
and restaurant clients, the firm secures freehold and leasehold
properties for a number of well-known high street brands and franchise
businesses. They offer property strategy and asset management services
for companies' existing property portfolios together with development
advice.
Debbie Reynolds formed the business because she wanted to work for
herself. Her husband later joined her as a second director, and they
now run the business together from their base in Heswall, Wirral.
When embarking upon the venture, Debbie quickly identified the need
for accountancy and business advice services. She asked friends and
family for recommendations, and set up three initial consultations '“ two
companies that had been endorsed by friends and one '˜wild card', that
had not been recommended to her.
It was the unknown firm that impressed Debbie the most. Upon arrival
at Dufton Kellner's offices, Debbie found that small personal touches
such as her name on her reserved parking space represented the
client-focused nature of the firm.
"All of the staff I met there were very approachable, and they came
across as people I could work with and rely upon," she said. "Three
years later we find they work hard to make you feel valued as a
customer."
Dufton Kellner helped Debbie throughout the process of starting up
her business. They now prepare end of year accounts for DRP, Debbie's
personal tax, and also offer advice on all areas of the business. DRP
has also been able to take advantage of Dufton Kellner's network of
contacts, with the firm putting her in touch with one of their new
clients.
"Their customer service is excellent," says Debbie. "I know that if I
had a difficult situation and needed advice they would find the answer,
even if it meant going out of the practice to do so."
