When your business revolves around protecting people, their homes and
their firms, it's important to know that your assets are being equally
looked after. Arrowe Security Systems is a leading security firm based
in Wirral, Merseyside providing high quality security solutions to their
nationwide client base. Closer to home, Arrowe Security Systems is
responsible for security across the entire Wirral NHS Trust and for the
Beatles Museum.
Originally a partnership established in 1994, Arrowe provides two
types of security. They specialise in systems such as intruder alarms,
CCTV and door access, and also offer services such as key holding and
out-of-hours uniform patrol. They incorporated in 2001.
It was at this time they first encountered Dufton Kellner after
receiving a recommendation from their bank. The bank had identified the
need for an extra accounting resource, in addition to their current
accountant, as the business was rapidly growing. Now, as well as taking
care of the annual accounts and tax returns, Dufton Kellner liaises
with various members of staff at Arrowe to provide comprehensive
business and financial advice.
"They are always there at the end of the phone," says Arrowe's Phil
Bettley "and collaborate with our accountant Len, who takes care of our
day-to-day and internal finances. What I especially like is that
whenever I contact them, I never have to say who it is that's calling.
They don't screen calls and are always prepared to listen and offer
answers to any questions we have."
Phil is impressed with how far Dufton Kellner stands out from other
accountancy firms he has encountered, and that they are proactive on a
day-to-day basis. They will travel to Arrowe for meetings, for example,
rather than Phil having to travel to see them.
"They have a remarkably young outlook for accountants," says Phil.
"They aren't gloomy or faceless, but put a very positive spin on
everything. They are eager to solve problems and reassure. They are
informal at the same time as being professional. Andrew Biddle, for
example, doesn't wear a tie, and neither do I. If it's good enough for
Richard Branson, it's good enough for me!"
