‘Corporate finance’ is one of those jargon phrases that can intimidate, suggesting visions of large corporate take overs, merchant bankers and all that’s unpopular in the City right now.
For us, corporate finance means something much simpler – making sure that every one of our business clients has access to the funds they need in an appropriate form. Here are some examples of the sort of things that we would list under the heading of corporate finance:-
- Arranging or extending an overdraft;
- Investigating and implementing growth finance, whether via loan or sales-linked products (e.g. factoring and invoice discounting)
- Asset finance – it’s generally a good idea to finance long-term assets with long-term funds, and there are various options available to achieve this;
- Valuing a target company for acquisition or your own business for sale;
- Assisting with the purchase or sale of your business, including deal negotiations, tax structure, valuation, liaising with your other professional advisers, and raising the money.
- Due diligence – which simply means investigating the target company to ensure you know what you’re getting, warts and all;
- Grant funding;
- Equity investments, such as business angels.
We can help with all of the above and more. Our team is experienced in dealing with all of the areas described above, and through our network of professional contacts we are able to assist you with obtaining the funds you require.
